Let's go over some rules. I will begin here:
1) The first thing is our draw phase. Here you will draw 1 card.
2) The second phase is the stand-by phase. Nothing happens here unless a card says otherwise.
3) Next is your Main phase. Now you can summon/set monsters or active spells and set spells/traps. This is important, so don't leave your field open. Your opponent will punish you for it.
4) Now is your batte phase. Attack or activate quick-spells or traps at this time.
5) This is the next phase, which is called the Main phase 2. Exactly like the main phase one but this time it's your last opertinity to get up some defensive cards in the field.
6) End Phase is the last and finally phase in your turn. Some effects conduct at this time, be sure to read your cards carefully. To end your turn say "I end my turn" or on Dueling Network, press the button that says "End Turn".
